Introduction

Our company, PT. Pakuwon Jati, Tbk, is committed to operating with full respect for Human Rights and upholding a strict policy against Child Labor and Forced Labor. We believe every individual has the right to work in safe and fair conditions, free from coercion, pressure, or exploitation. We are dedicated to complying with all applicable laws and regulations, and to promoting sustainable practices in every aspect of our operations. We enforce zero-tolerance toward Child Labor and Forced Labor, and we encourage all our business partners (vendors, suppliers, tenants, contractors) to uphold the same standards.

 

Policy Objectives:

  1. To ensure the Company operates with integrity and responsibility in the protection of Human Rights.
  2. To prohibit and prevent the use of Child Labor and Forced Labor in all aspects of Company's operations.

 

Scope

This policy applies to:
All employees, contractors, suppliers/vendors, and all business partners involved in the Company’s on-site and off-site operations.

 

Policy Principles:

  1. Definitions
    • Child Labor: Individuals under the age of 18 engaged in work that endangers their health, safety, or morals, including all forms of underage employment that violate applicable labor laws.
    • Forced Labor: Any individual who is coerced to work or perform specific tasks under threat of punishment or other pressures, including debt bondage.
       
  2. Zero-Tolerance Statement
    The company enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward child labor and forced labor. Any violations of this policy will result in firm disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment and/or reporting to the relevant authorities.
     
  3. Recruitment Process
    • Age Verification: All recruitment processes must include age verification, requiring valid identification documents to ensure that no underage individuals are employed.
    • Background Checks: The company will conduct background checks to ensure no child or forced labor is involved in the supply/vendor chain or other business partners.
       
  4. Support and Reporting
    • The company supports individuals who report complaints related to Child Labor and Forced Labor. Reports may be submitted anonymously through designated reporting channels.
    • All reports will be taken seriously and investigated in accordance with existing procedures.
       
  5. Training and Awareness
    • Specifically, those involved in recruitment and human resource management will undergo training on the policy prohibiting Child Labor and Forced Labor.
    • The company will promote awareness of Human Rights Protection policies, particularly the policy on the Prohibition of Child Labor and Forced Labor, and ensure all business-related entities understand and support this policy.
       
  6. Monitoring and Evaluation
    • Measures will be taken to address any violations found and to prevent future violations.
    • The company will conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure all related entities comply with this policy.
    • This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as necessary to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in preventing Child Labor and Forced Labor.
